Processing is approximate and set by Stripe. International cards cost more; where they exceed the standard rate, BuzzGram absorbs the difference. Amounts in Canadian dollars. Sales tax, where it applies, is the vendor’s responsibility.
Where payments are available
Payments are rolling out city by city and are currently available to vendors in Toronto. Listing is free everywhere BuzzGram operates. If payments have not reached your city yet, your dashboard will say so and we will email you when they do.
Common questions
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. Listing is free, there is no monthly fee, and there is nothing to pay if you never take a payment through BuzzGram.
Do I have to take payments through BuzzGram?
No. It is optional and off by default. Plenty of vendors use their listing purely to be found, and arrange payment however they already do.
Who pays the 5%?
The customer, on top of your price. It is shown to them before they pay, and the amount on the button is the amount their card is charged.
What do I pay?
Card processing only — roughly 2.9% + 30¢, set by Stripe. Where an international card costs more than the standard rate, BuzzGram absorbs the difference.
When do I get paid?
Weekly, automatically, to the bank account you connect during setup. Your first payout can take a little longer while Stripe verifies your identity.
What if I have to cancel on a customer?
They get a full refund including the 5%. The refunded amount comes out of your balance or a future payout. Details are in the Vendor Payment Terms.
