  • Payment Information: If you choose to use paid features, we collect billing address, payment method details, and transaction history (though payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors; see Section 7 for details).
  • Preferences and Settings: Information about your language preferences, notification settings, privacy preferences, and other customization choices.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain information about your device and your interactions:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, device identifier (such as advertising ID), and device settings.
  • Usage Data: Pages or features accessed, links clicked, time spent on the Platform, search queries, and types of content viewed.
  • Geolocation Data: Approximate location information based on IP address or, with your permission, precise GPS location. This helps us show you relevant local Businesses in your area. We operate in the following cities: Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, Chicago, and Phoenix (United States) and Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa (Canada).
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referral URL, and pages visited.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Information collected through cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to recognize you, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the Platform.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive personal information about you from:

  • Other Users: If another User mentions you in a review or comment, or sends you a message through the Platform.
  • Service Providers: Third-party service providers who assist with analytics, payment processing, customer service, and marketing.
  • Business Partners: Information shared by Businesses or other partners in connection with integrated services or features.
  • Social Media Platforms: If you choose to link your social media account to BuzzGram, we may collect information from your public profile with your permission.
  • Publicly Available Sources: Information from public directories, government records, or other publicly accessible sources to enhance User profiles or verify information.

1.4 Sensitive Personal Information (United States and Canada)

We do not knowingly collect or request the following categories of sensitive personal information:

  • Social Security numbers or similar government identifiers
  • Racial or ethnic origin
  • Religious or philosophical beliefs
  • Biometric information for identification purposes
  • Genetic information
  • Health or medical information
  • Sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Financial account information (beyond what is needed for payment processing)

If you inadvertently provide such information, we will take steps to delete or de-identify it promptly.

  • Protecting the rights, property, and safety of BuzzGram, Users, and Businesses

  • Notifying you about Platform updates, new features, or special offers

For Users in California and other U.S. states, and Canada: We will only send marketing communications if you have provided explicit consent. You may withdraw consent and opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us directly (see Section 11).

  • Investigation of suspected violations of our Terms of Service
  • Protection of public safety or the safety of others

3.4 Business Transfers

If BuzzGram is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, restructuring, or similar transaction or proceeding, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.5 Aggregated and De-Identified Information

4.2 Data Deletion Upon Request

For all Users: You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to legal and operational limitations. See Section 6 (Your Privacy Rights) for details on how to make a deletion request.

Note: Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), we are not obligated to delete information if it is still necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. However, we will delete information when it is no longer necessary or when you request deletion, except where retention is required by law.

4.3 Secure Destruction

When we delete personal information, we use industry-standard secure deletion methods:

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

For Users between 13 and 18 (Minors):

  • In California, minors between 13 and 16 can provide consent for data collection themselves; those under 13 require parental consent
